End User License Agreement

IMPORTANT: Please read this End User License Agreement ("EULA") carefully before installing or using the Reforge software. By installing or using the software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.

1. Definitions

• "Software" means the Reforge Converter application, including all updates and documentation.
• "License Key" means the unique code provided to you to activate the Software.
• "Authorized Machine" means a computer on which the Software has been properly activated.
• "You" means the individual or entity that has purchased or obtained a license to use the Software.

2. License Types

*Enterprise licenses are site licenses for use within a single organization.

3. Grant of License

Subject to the terms of this EULA, Reforge Software grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Install and use the Software on the number of Authorized Machines permitted by your license type
• Make one backup copy of the Software for archival purposes
• Use the Software to convert CGM files to SVG format for your personal or business use

4. License Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Share your License Key with any third party
• Install the Software on more machines than your license permits
• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Remove or alter any copyright notices or proprietary labels
• Rent, lease, lend, or sublicense the Software
• Use the Software to provide conversion services to third parties (except Enterprise licenses)
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

5. Activation and Verification

The Software requires activation via the internet. During activation:

• A machine identifier is generated and sent to our license server
• The machine identifier is a one-way hash that cannot identify your hardware
• The Software may periodically verify your license status online
• Offline activation is available upon request for Enterprise customers

6. Updates and Upgrades

Your license includes free updates for one year from the date of purchase. After this period:

• You may continue using your current version indefinitely
• New features and updates require a renewal or upgrade purchase
• Critical security updates may be provided at our discretion

7. Data and Privacy

The Software does not collect, transmit, or store the content of your CGM or SVG files. The only data transmitted to our servers is license activation and validation information. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Components

The Software may include open-source components subject to their respective licenses. A list of such components and their licenses is available in the Software's documentation folder.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. REFORGE SOLUTIONS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL REFORGE SOLUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

11. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination:

• You must cease all use of the Software
• You must destroy all copies in your possession
• Sections 9, 10, and 12 survive termination

12. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Reforge Software operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Entire Agreement

This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and Reforge Software regarding the Software and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
